Any mission.
We're developing one truck bed system that locks up your gear, shelters you for the night, carries overhead loads, and slides out of the way when you need the whole bed. The prototype works. The production design is being finished now, and we want your input.
Open by design.
Exposed by default.
Truck owners ask their bed to do four jobs. Nothing on the market does all four.

So owners stack products, spend thousands, and still can't get into their own bed.
One rig. Every job.

Secure
Zip it closed and lock your gear in the bed.

Shelter
Sleep in the bed, out of the weather. No tent to pitch.

Overhead
Utility bars carry boats, ladders and lumber up top.

Slide it
to the cab.
The whole rack and canopy ride on a rail. Slide them forward and your entire bed is open for anything.
- Production goal: one person, operating it from the side of the truck.
- No tools, no removal, nothing to store in the garage.
- Fits half-ton, midsize and heavy-duty pickups.

Core values.
Beautiful · Useful · Elegant · Durable · Simple · Timeless · Exceptional
Every Bright Angel product should be all seven. Every detail should exist for a reason.
Why "Bright Angel."
Bright Angel comes from the Grand Canyon: the creek, the spring, the canyon and the trail of that name. It's a powerful image of giving, an oasis in a desolate place, and a heritage symbol of the Southwest, the founder's birthplace and much-loved land. The name also speaks to the brightness of our innovations, and to guidance toward something better.
Our mark is a hovering North American falcon. A hovering falcon has perspective unavailable from the ground. It sees routes, opportunity and resources before others, and it patiently surveys the landscape before acting. It stands for wisdom before action, vision before speed, and purpose before power. Like the falcon, Bright Angel seeks to help people discover possibilities they could not previously see.

A civil engineer by profession, I spent several years designing high-voltage transmission systems, a kind of engineering that demands thoughtful design, quality control, and multi-stakeholder involvement. Today I'm an MBA student at BYU's Marriott School of Business, focused on global supply chain and operations.
By trade and attitude, I see myself as someone who seeks to empower people and help them have more abundantly. Bright Angel Industries (BAI) is an innovation company and my personal brand, an extension of my strength and hopes.
My aim in founding Bright Angel Industries is to find good solutions to real problems, and to be the quality leader in bringing those solutions to market. I believe in an abundant world, and I want all BAI products to bring joy and excitement to individuals and families everywhere.

SlickRackOur first product, a truck bed system in development. One rack. Any mission.About SlickRack
One rack. Any mission.
SlickRack came from my own frustration with the truck bed products on the market. Every cover, rack and tent makes you give something up, and none of them let me use the full capacity of my truck. So I designed and built one system on my own Ram 1500. Now we're turning that prototype into a product.
To maximize the capability of pickup trucks through our innovative ecosystem.
A world where every truck user can have full use and simple flexibility from their truck.
Production design goals
These are the targets the production SlickRack is being engineered to. They'll be confirmed by load and shake testing before anything ships.
- Four jobs, one systemSecurity, protection, overhead capacity and accessibility for your truck bed.
- Easy from one sideOne person adjusts it from the side of the truck.
- Built to carry100 lb at 5 g dynamic per bow. 1,000 lb static across the bows combined.
- Off-road durableQuiet and rattle free on the road. Tolerant of dust, mud, sun and abuse.
- Easy to maintainLow-failure components and simple upkeep.
- Moves with youHardware transferable to your next truck.

Help us build it.
SlickRack is being shaped by the people who'll use it. Pick whatever fits. Every option takes a few minutes or less, and you don't need to own a truck.
Give your take
Rate the idea, pick the add-ons, finish and canopy color you'd want, and tell us what would make it better. There's room to say as much as you like.
